About Our Partners:

San Francisco Rising:  San Francisco Rising builds the political power of working-class communities and communities of color in San Francisco to lead the way for democratic governance that prioritizes racial, economic and environmental justice.  We are an alliance of grassroots organizations led by people of color, and a political home for San Franciscans who care about justice and sustainability. We build power through deepening multiracial solidarity, educating and mobilizing voters, working closely with policymakers, organizing, and developing leaders of color.

AAPIs for Civic Empowerment Education Fund:  AAPIs For Civic Empowerment-Education Fund (AAPI FORCE-EF) is an alliance of community organizations serving Asian American and Pacific Islanders across the state of California. AAPI FORCE-EF builds organizers, organizations, and networks to form a far-reaching, powerful AAPI political bloc. We work on campaigns that center the needs of working-class Asian immigrant, refugee, and Pacific Islander families. We speak to voters in their own languages and empower young AAPI voters to mark their ballots. We work together to build the power necessary for positive change in our communities.

Build the Wheel:  Build the Wheel is a collaborative initiative to help strengthen community empowerment efforts across the country. Buildthewheel.org is being designed as an online clearinghouse of workshops and trainings where staff and community leaders from diverse organizations, neighborhoods, cities and issue areas can come together to share and build upon each others’ practice, experiences and learning in popular political education and leadership development. This is a space where community leaders and organizations seeking to affect policy change through community organizing and civic participation strategies will gain access to tools, curricula and resources to more effectively educate ourselves and the community constituents, members and leaders we work with.

Center for Empowered Politics Education Fund:The Center For Empowered Politics Education Fund is a new movement capacity building organization that aims to train and develop new leaders of color and grow our movement infrastructure, particularly around organizing and power building strategies.

Chinese Progressive Association San Francisco:  Founded in 1972, the Chinese Progressive Association educates, organizes and empowers the low income and working class immigrant Chinese community in San Francisco to build collective power with other oppressed communities to demand better living and working conditions and justice for all people.

South Bay Youth Changemakers:  South Bay Youth Changemakers is a youth-led community organization building Asian American political power in the South Bay.  Through community organizing, civic engagement, and narrative work, South Bay Youth Changemakers empowers young people to build more just and sustainable communities.
